With the information from our twill gamp, we can design a larger project like these twill blankets, threaded with a rosepath threading.

Yarn

Warp: 7 cones of Gist Yarn Beam 3/2 organic cotton in Natural (630 yd / 576 m per 8 oz / 227 g cone; 100% organic cotton)

Weft for hems: 1 tube of Maurice Brassard 8/2 unmercerized cotton in Natural (1680 yd / 1536 m per 8 oz / 227 g tube; 100% cotton)

Weft for Dandelion Blanket: 3 cones of Gist Yarn Beam 3/2 organic cotton in Dandelion (630 yd / 576 m per 8 oz / 227 g cone; 100% organic cotton)

Weft for Lighthouse Blanket: 2 blanks of SweetGeorgia Single Sock Yarn Blank in Lighthouse (425 yd / 388 m per 4 oz / 115 g blank; 80% superwash merino wool, 20% nylon)

Weft for Magician Blanket: 2 skeins of SweetGeorgia Flaxen Silk Fine in Magician (480 yd / 439 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 65% silk, 35% linen)

Equipment & Tools

  • 4-shaft loom with a minimum 40″ / 38 cm weaving width
  • 12-dent reed
  • 1 shuttle and bobbins, warping board/reel/sectional, reed hook, heddle hook, tapestry needle, measuring tape, sewing machine
