My name is Felicia Lo and I’ve been driven by an insatiable desire to “make & do” for my entire life. I learned to knit and sew garments at a young age and then became obsessed with dyeing, spinning, and weaving. These multiple passions in the textile arts have led me to become a creative business owner and educator.
In 2005, I founded SweetGeorgia Yarns, an artisan hand-dyed yarn company, and in 2017, I wrote my first book, Dyeing to Spin & Knit. Currently, I’m exploring weaving on multi-shaft floor looms with hand-dyed yarn at Lo Meets Loom.
Building a textile school specifically for fibre artists has been my dream for a long, long time and my mission is to share the joy of colour and craft with makers everywhere.
If you are interested in learning about knitting, spinning, weaving, dyeing, and colour, I would love for you to join me in creating this vibrant learning community.

For a maker who is passionate about everything from learning to spin yarn, to learning to weave with handspun yarn, to learning to knit and crochet with hand-dyed yarn, we are faced with the challenge of managing our time, space, resources, and focus. It can feel like there is so much to learn, it’s hard to know where to start. And learning new techniques and skills can seem intimidating or overwhelming.

The School of SweetGeorgia is a membership community that provides members with access to all of our video-based fibre arts educational content. Video courses and workshops are supported by the instructor through an active community discussion forum as well as monthly livestream Q&A sessions. Our focus is building a video library of deep knowledge in the fibre arts, exploring dyeing, spinning, weaving, knitting, and how colour brings it all together.
Our All-Access membership is available as a monthly, quarterly, or annual recurring subscription that begins on the date you sign up. The All-Access membership allows members to access all of the content and community forums.
Your membership can be paused or cancelled online at anytime.
If you’ve been wanting to find a community of makers who enjoy ALL the different fibre arts and crafts and want to explore techniques and projects in-depth, then THIS is the place to be. Not only will we help you learn the crafts you’re interested in, but we’ll also provide all the support and resources you need to succeed.
The School of SweetGeorgia is designed for folks who enjoy and want to learn more about knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, and dyeing. We believe in the idea that people who love working with yarn and fibre will be drawn to learning different fibre arts and crafts… the idea of being a “multicraftual maker”. We find members who initially joined the SOS to learn spinning have ended up learning weaving, tapestry, knitting, and crochet. One rabbit hole leads to another!
Our entire course library is available as soon as you sign up. All our course and workshop content is completely self-paced. Work at your own pace, whenever and wherever you have time.
As long as the School of SweetGeorgia is in operation and as long as you have an active membership subscription, our continuously evolving library of content will be available to you. After enrolling, you have unlimited access to our content library for as long as you like — across any and all devices you own.
The best way to see if our School is a good fit for you is to first watch our free workshops and the videos that we have made available for preview:
