Member Update // Mastering Gauge with Tabetha Hedrick!

Just mentioning the subject of “gauge” can make a knitter run for the hills. Some of us want to simply get right down to it… we want to dive into that beautiful skein of yarn and excitedly cast on our new project already! But gauging properly can help ensure that at the end of your project you don’t get a sweater you can swim in, or one that squeezes the breath out of you. Especially when you consider the amount of time knitters dedicate to their handmade projects, we want to help ensure that time spent ends with a project that works perfectly for you.
Mastering Gauge with Tabetha Hedrick
In our latest workshop on the School of SweetGeorgia, Mastering Gauge, Tabetha Hedrick takes the frustration out of gauge swatching! You’ll learn the best methods for creating a gauge swatch, master the sure-fire ways of measuring, and above all, learn all the tips and tricks you need to ensure that your knitting comes out perfect every single time. The series of videos go in-depth on how to wash and block your swatches (and projects), as well as how the different fibres react to the various stitches, techniques, and tools available. By the end, you will be excited to knit with a fresh, renewed view of the end goal! Also included in this workshop is the exclusive hat pattern shown above: Glas!
