Member Update // Final Spinning Up a Level Module Now Available!

Various spinning fibre from School of SweetGeorgia's Spinning up a Level course with Katrina Stewart

Happy New Year! We hope the holiday season allowed moments of rest, rejuvenation and relaxation, and that the new year brings with it an excitement of new project plans and the joy of further learning and exploring on your fibre arts journey.

If you are looking for inspiration and motivation in setting up projects for the new year, planning out what skills you hope to learn and improve, don’t forget to take a look at our Plan Your Make Nine workshop. Led by Tabetha Hedrick, she helps with planning your Make Nine challenge, step-by-step, which can help with pushing yourself into new creative directions for an enjoyable year of making!

Spinning Up a Level // Project Planning

The final module of Spinning Up a Level is now here, and we hope you’ve been enjoying this time spent with us, practicing at your wheel or spindle. In the sixth module, Project Planning, spinning instructor Katrina Stewart talks about project planning and how we can intentionally spin for the project we want to end up with. Katrina discusses her own handspun projects and how she went about planning how to spin and knit them.

Thank you so much for joining us on this journey. We want you to come away inspired to try new things, play with colour, and change up the way you spin on a regular basis so that you’re learning and exploring different alternatives for yourself. To spin intentionally and make the yarn that you want. Learning from the experiences that don’t turn out, and those that do. To work really hard to take your spinning to the next level. We really hope you’ve had fun!
