Member Update // Crochet Basics New at SOS
We’re so excited for today… we’re ready to dip our toes into the world of crocheting with the latest course release at the School: Crochet Basics! From fundamentals to your first shawl, instructor Charlotte Lee covers all of the basics steps on how to get started crocheting!
Helping students learn how to choose yarns and hooks for crochet, how to chain stitch, working a variety of commonly used stitches, troubleshooting and more, you’ll learn how to crochet Charlotte’s beautiful After Midnight shawl design which is included with the course.

Weaving Study Group
We’re looking forward to weaving with you soon at our next SOS study group – the Weaving Study Group: Twills on Four Shafts! Taking place over eight weeks, we will come together and work on getting started with weaving on 4-shaft looms and work towards weaving our first twill gamp.
If you’re interested in joining in, we encourage you to check out the study group page where Felicia shares suggestions for things to warm up and get started with before the study group begins. Also, join us over in the forum group where all of the chat and questions can be shared.
It all begins on January 6, 2022, but you are welcome to join in any of our study groups during any time of the year – all of the information will continue to remain available!
Live Office Hours
Our next Live Office Hours session is already coming up next week, taking place Thursday, November 25th at 10am PST! If you have any fibre arts questions or a project you would like Felicia to include as part of the livestream, be sure to post your Live Office Hours questions and projects in advance!
