I’ve always lived on the West Coast — born in Victoria and lived in Steveston for the past 25 years — rain, rocks and Arbutus trees are in my blood! But I do love travel, there’s nothing better than wandering in a great old city.
I’ve had a variety of jobs, some were creative — I’ve owned several food-related businesses and worked with stained glass for a while — and some not so much (the time spent washing dishes in a hospital kitchen on weekends so we didn’t incur childcare costs springs to mind!).
About three years ago I began punch needle rug hooking and not only loved it but found a lot of others were interested in learning about it too. So now I teach workshops and run a business supporting and supplying materials for other punch needle makers.
