Knit one into the first wrap of the double-wrapped stitch, leaving the second wrap on the left-hand needle.
Work the next stitch like a k2tog, inserting the needle into two wraps on the LH needle—that is, the first wrap of the second stitch and the remaining wrap from the first stitch.
Then wrap the yarn twice around your needle and draw the stitch through in the usual manner, being sure to leave the second wrap on the LH needle.
Both RS and WS rows are worked in the same manner.
