here’s our checklist of orientation tasks

To make the most of your membership, we encourage you to complete these little tasks. If you need help, just watch the welcome workshop to show you around!

School of SweetGeorgia

The process of making things is a cycle of being inspired, coming up with ideas, creating a plan, and then executing on the idea. We encourage you to think of your finished objects as the results of your learning and that they serve as a springboard for future projects. Sharing your work, exploring new techniques alongside others and reviewing your progress is all incredibly beneficial to the learning process.

Idea + Inspiration

Collect the ideas you have for the things you want to learn or make. Check out the list of courses to get inspired for your next project!

Learning Plan

Keep yourself accountable and write down your goals for learning. We encourage you to share your "Learning Plan" with us.

Make + Do

This is the fun part where you start making things! If you need yarn, fibre, or supplies, check our list of "Member Resources".

Faux Ikat Weaving

Share + Review

We encourage you to post to "Share Your Wins" to share what you've made. We celebrate what you've created with you!

Watch it live to join in the discussion

Every month, Felicia hosts a livestream event on YouTube for the School of SweetGeorgia. You can check our Calendar of Events to see when the next scheduled livestream will happen, but it’s generally the last Thursday of every month at 10 am PST.

Watch the livestream on this page when it happens. If you want to join the live chat, please watch from your YouTube or Twitch account.

If you miss the livestream, don’t worry, we will always archive the videos here in the SOS Library for ever and ever for all our members.
