Equipment

  • 4-Shaft loom-minimum 15″/ 38 cm width for cotton gamp.
  • 4-Shaft loom-minimum 20″/ 50 cm width for wool gamp.
  • 4-Shaft loom-minimum 40″/ 102 cm width for blanket.
  • 12 dent reed

Materials

Cotton Gamp:

  • Warp & Weft: 3 cones of Gist Beam (630 yd / 576 m per 8 oz / 227 g cone; 100% organic cotton). 3/2 organic cotton, 1 each in Natural (warp colour), Cobalt (weft colour), and Hibiscus (contrast colour) 

Wool Gamp:

  • Warp & Weft: 3 skeins of SweetGeorgia BFL+Silk Fine (370 yd / 338 m per 3.5 oz / 100 g skein; 75% bluefaced leicester, 25% silk), 1 each in Birch (warp colour), Trinket (weft colour), and Lollipop (contrast colour).

Rosepath Blanket:

  • Warp: 7 cones of Gist Beam, (630 yd / 576 m per 8 oz / 227 g cone; 100% organic cotton), 3/2 organic cotton in Natural colour.
  • Weft for hems: 1 tube of 8/2 un-mercerized cotton Maurice Brassard, (1680 yd / 1536 m per 8 oz / 227 g tube; 100% cotton), in Natural colour.
  • Weft for Dandelion Blanket: 3 cones of Gist Beam, (630 yd / 576 m per 8 oz / 227 g cone; 100% organic cotton) 3/2 organic cotton in Dandelion colour. 
  • Weft for Lighthouse Blanket: 2 blanks of SweetGeorgia Single Sock Yarn Blanks (425 yd / 388 m per 4 oz / 115 g blank; 80% superwash merino wool, 20% nylon), in Lighthouse colour.
  • Weft for Magician Blanket: 2 skeins of SweetGeorgia Flaxen Silk Fine (480 yd / 439 m per 4 oz / 115 g skein; 65% silk, 35% linen), in Magician colour.

Additional Supplies shown/demonstrated

  • Iron
  • Sewing machine and thread
  • Additional leash sticks or dowels longer than width of project
