Centered Double Decrease

Two of the designs in the Tempest collection use a Centred Double Decrease: Stormwatch and Eventide.

The Centred Double Decrease is worked the same way in both stitch patterns.

First up is the lace pattern in Stormwatch

  • Slip 2 stitches at the same time knitwise.
  • Knit one.
  • Pass 2 stitches over.

I’ll demonstrate it again, this time as part of the chevron stitch pattern in Eventide

  • Slip 2 stitches at the same time knitwise.
  • Knit one.
  • Pass 2 stitches over.
